What size postcard is best?
The smaller the postcard the less expensive the printing cost, but too small of a postcard and you do not have enough space for your messaging. At Action Mail we recommned 8.5”x5.5” for most postcards, but other popular and cost effective sizes are 4”x6”, 5”x7”, 6”x9”, 6”x11” and 8.5”x11”. It is best to contact one of our representatives when deciding a size, as there are many cost implications, especially if the postcard is mailed.
What paper do you use to Print postcards?
Action Mail can use any paper you prefer. Typically we print on a 14pt cardstock, which is a sturdy thick card stock. We also use a 11pt cardstock which is a bit thinner for short runs or printing with variable data. If you have another preference we can source the exact paper you would like.
What coating should be on the postcards?
We offer a gloss and matte coating. The cost is the same so the choice is up to your preference. Typically for postcards with more graphics and imagery gloss coating is recommend but it is all up to personal preference.
