What size is best for a Self-Mailer?
Most self-mailers we print are 8.5x11 but it depends on what the self-mailer will be used for and how much information that is needed to print. We also see larger self-mailers that fold multiple times to get more information onto the mail piece. It is best to contact one of our representatives when deciding a size, as there are many cost implications, especially if the flyer is mailed.
What paper do you use to Print Self-mailers?
Action Mail can use any paper you prefer. Typically we print on a 80# or 100# gloss text. There are specific requirements for the paper thickness of self-mailers depending on the number of folds and design. If you have another preference we can source the exact paper you would like.
What coating should be on the se;f-mailer?
We typically recommend a gloss coating because self-mailers tend to have more imagery than text
How to Seal a Self Mailer?
Typically self mailers are sealed with two translucent tab stickers on the top of the mail piece. The size of the stickers and locations depend on the type and weight of the mail piece. Some mail pieces will also need a tab on the leading or trailing edges. Self mailers can also be seal by continuous glue lines. It is best to check with a mail house to determine the sealing requirements for your specific self mailer.
